Hi, and welcome to Midnight Manuscripts ✨
I’m Kaylee Kramer, the heart behind this little corner of the internet. I’ve always been the kind of person who says, “Just one more chapter,” and suddenly it’s well past midnight. I have always considered the night to be one of the most special times in the world. It feels secret and hidden, every minute stolen. This is the time the stories truly come to life.
I created this blog to share the books that capture my heart with fellow readers who love to linger in stories, live through characters, and get lost in the worlds tucked between the pages. I believe that books have a wonderful kind of magic, one that inspires and dares you to dream bigger.
You can usually find me tucked behind the pages of a fantasy book, captivated by worlds filled with intrigue, romance, and enchanting forms of magic. Fantasy allows readers to explore worlds they might otherwise never experience- adventure, magic, mystery, and the impossible. Though every now and then, I’ve been known to pick up a good mystery.
Here on Midnight Manuscripts, you can expect:
- Reflections and reviews on the books I’m reading or have loved in the past
- Recommendations for romantic, thrilling, funny, and captivating reads
- Favorite quotes and moments that linger long after midnight
- Monthly reading updates and what’s on my nightstand
- Musings about writing, storytelling, and the magic I find in every page
I’ll also be sharing my Midnight Picks, the special stories that captured my heart and kept me up far too late. This will be a short list of books that I highly recommend or my favorite read of the month.
As for content, some of the books I’m forever obsessed with include the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas, The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V. E. Schwab, the Nytefall series by Chloe C. Penaranda, the Fourth Wing series by Rebecca Yarros, and the Once Upon a Broken Heart series by Stephanie Garber.
Some of the books I’m currently obsessed with are the Jasad Heir by Sara Hasheem and We Who Will Die by Stacia Stark. If these sound like your kind of stories, then you are in the right place.
I hope that this blog becomes a little haven for you, a place to discover your next favorite read, share in the magic, and linger a little longer in the stories we love under the wonder of the night.
Stay up past midnight with me, won’t you?
Until the next midnight read…🌙
